Potential Exceeds Level of Effort

Mouse is getting a "C" in algebra. Progress reports were mailed and her teacher put a comment "Potential Exceeds Level of Effort". Basically, I chewed her out. I am not one of those parents that demand good grades. I just want my kids to give it their all even if they fail. But when a bad grade is because of lack of effort. Oh yeah. Whoopass time for sure.

You go girl! I just went thru the same thing with my middle son. He had an F in Social Studies. He basically gave up. I know that he can do it, so I told him to get it raised and if he needed/wanted my help, to come to me. He did. It is now a B. I know what my kids are capable of, and d & f work isn't part of it. I am ok with their grades as long as I see effort being put forth :)
No worries about the email, write when you can....I know how busy we can get :) Love ya girl!

I love it when people used phrases that I use all the time. It's a sort of kindred spirit whoopass on teenager booty. ;-)
