4 Laps Again

I made it 4 times around the lake again today. My legs were still a little sore from yesterday so I went walking with the intention of making it 3 times around because that is still a pretty good walk. But that glorious Zune was playing my playlist and the songs inspired me to keep going. How can you stop walking when the Cranberries are singing Dreams? I couldn't. I made it 4 laps with no problems. I honestly could have gone for a 5th but I am worried I will burn myself out. I have done that before. Some exercise is better than none. I will go 2-3 weeks at 4 laps then upgrade one lap. I will keep on that schedule. What do you think? I feel great. I feel alive.

Before my husband became disabled, I walked every evening after work. I walked a lot. Talk about "runner's high," well you can get "walker's high,"' too. It really gets the endorphins or whatever in your brain that makes you feel good, going. I don't walk now as I have had to pick up too many extra tasks, but I'm rooting for you! Nice going and good luck with your health!

That's awesome daphne!
I wish I could say I'm also motivated enough to keep up with the exercize, but honestly, it kills my back something fierce even though I lose the most weight and feel emotionally clearer and happier when I do it consisitently over a week. Keep at it, and I so know about burn out, I think thats what happened to me last week, cause this week I just feel too sore and tired to exercize.

1. I feel fantastic. The sun is shining and I went for a walk in 40 degree weather without a coat.

2. We're leaving for SC on Tuesday next. I wish we could be gone longer, but my dad's testing begins the following Monday and I want to be there.

3. Thank you for the sweet card. You're the best EVER in the whole wide world and I keep forgetting to say so.

**hugs**

You're totally the best!

LB, the Zune is captivating, is it not? It is almost as hot as my picture. Just kidding. Seriously though, swimming in the lake would be GROSS and cold. Too many geese and fish and the edges are still frozen over.

SA, LB mentioned lormaikai today and now I am really really really wanting to try it. If I come to Houston will you show me where to get some?

Vickie, thanks for the encouragement. I just hope my joy of walking will continue in the summer months. I remember in Houston I hated walking because it was always so hot. Right the weather is so perfect. Don't you agree? *hugs*

Rowan! You live! I will be reading that novel you posted on your blog later today ;) My neopets account got frozen for bit for a total mess up on their part but now I can neomail you again. I cannot believe how much weight you have lost. You are such an inspiration.

Jayleigh, that was the temp for me too! It is perfect to walk without a coat at that temp. I have enough padding. Please keep updated about your dad. Did you know that suddenly DBS is huge at my hubby's work? He helps with at least 2 a week. He is getting really good at it too. And I am glad the card made it. I was worried that maybe up there mail wasn't running with all the snow he he he
