Scheduling Blip

My morning has been messed up. Little Man stayed home today so no walk until later. I don't want to leave him to his own devices. He is far too curious and is always finding new ways to experience trouble. I remember one time he put play-doh in some toy. He left it there for several days. I asked him why did he do that and he said "it was an experiment. If you don't take it out immediately then the toy will be ruined." That is Little Man. He never takes anyone's word for it. He has to try it himself just to see.

On another note, I think I have a crush. There is this young man that has become "our waiter" at this restaurant we go to. He is so darn good at his job that I never have to ask for anything. Our glasses are always filled no matter what drink we choose. He knows how Mr. D likes his steak cooked, how my mom likes pure horseradish instead of the mixed up stuff and how I hate the carrots they make there. There is just something about a young good looking guy bringing food to me that makes me melt. I think my whole family has a crush on him. Maybe I should adopt the boy. Him and the cook.

Nathan used to "experiment" with things. One time he wondered what would happen if you put salt in a car battery. Not only does it ruin the battery, but it produces chlorine gas, which is deadly poisonous. Luckily no one was injured.

Aren't crushes fun? I should be thinking of one, but between Thor and Tristino...;-) Speaking of, Tristino is past the 15,000 word mark and growing big and healthy. He's scheduled to be a complete draft by the 10th of March, but I hope to get done and start revising him before that. And thanks for asking about him...soon you might even have the chance to meet him. :-o

The ex and I wanted to adopt a girl years ago. She was a univeristy student studing early childcare. She was so good with Mancub! I'd still like to 'adopt' a university girl, but it's be creepy now. LOL! Actually, it would make sense (if I get a house again) to rent an extra room to a food nutrition major and let her prepare 3 meals a week and be in charge of the kitchen. Kids and I would get healthier and she would save tons of money. I mean, my niece lived with us for a while when she started university. I don't want to seem creepy, but it's also be nice to have a woman around the house that I didn't have to answer to. (evil laughter :) Ah, to be taken seriously again someday.

Al, that sounds SCARY! Thankfully, the only really dangerous thing Little Man has done so far is put two keys in a light socket. He burned his hand a little and scared himself good but overall was fine.

LB, I told him that we were going to adopt him. I just have this feeling that waiting on my family doesn't seem to appealing to him.

Kim, congrats! You are sticking to this timeline and getting it done. You are so motivated and will soon have to change your name from Goddess of Procrastination to Goddess of Motivation :) I can't wait to take a peek.

Rick, my brother gave him some type of fireworks. He has been eyeing the box forever now. I keep telling him he has to wait until an adult is present. I am hoping for the ol' out of sight out of mind phenomenon.

Jayleigh, if Seth would just agree, I would bring him home in a flash. Unfortunately, he has a life outside of the restaurant. We found out his girlfriend is this waitress that used to work there. We tried to adopt her first before we even met him. And if you adopt your chiropractor, I am coming for a visit!

FH, it is not so creepy. I had a friend in Houston that was looking for a nanny. She was a full time professor and had a one year old baby. Anyway, she wanted someone who wanted to be a part of the family and not so much an employee and she found a woman who really wanted that. The only weird thing was she demanded to be called "Miss _____". No one was allowed to call her by her first name. How is that being like family? Now that was creepy to me.

And don't worry about the grammar. I suck at grammar.
