Mr. Daphnewood bought the kids a cheap fishing reel from Wal-Mart. Here in Kansas, the state stocks the local ponds every two weeks to encourage fishing. Our neighborhood has tons of ponds. It looks like they had fun, huh?

I have a full life that I intend to enjoy to my dying day! I have an exasperating but totally cute husband, 3 smarter-than-me kids and a huge extended family that may or may not be blood related. Be prepared to be confused. I know I am.

WOW! The state stocks the ponds? Don't you have potholes to fill or sompin?
Hey-it does look like they are having a good time. That is so great--I'm just across the state line from you and there are no ponds in our neighborhood, but there is a nice walking trail-the one that goes from the Plaza through Brookside and out through Waldo and points South. Lots of intersting people and pets. Hope you are feeling better. I'm having a toothache in a tooth that had a root canal and I'm trying to figure that one out. Don't quite have the "nerve" to call the dentist yet!
