Flashback Friday: Age 7

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is a picture of me chewing on ice. This is a habit I have never outgrown. In fact, I am chewing on ice as I write this and it is 47 degrees outside. You can take the girl out of CA but you can't take CA out of the girl. I found this picture the other day and was amazed at how much my son looks like me. Tonight my oldest son had to dress up for his orchestra concert and I kept thinking how much he looked like his dad. My daughter has my husband's wide spaced big blue eyes. Both of them look like Mr. Daphnewood. It took three tries but I finally got one kid that looks like me. Triumph at last!

So who do you all look like? Your mom or dad?

I look like my dad - he was the most handsome one in the family, til I came along. Did you hear what J lee did to my blog???? I mean reeely!

You are sooooo flippin' adorable!!!

Well nobody in our family has red hair except my twin and me.

Really I'm an equal mix. Looking a bit more like my mom, but acting a bit more like my dad.

I have my dad's eyes but my mom's face. My dad's intelligence and my mom's drive. My mom's body shape and my dad's sense of humor.

Too bad my mom wasn't thinner! Maybe I'd have inherited that too!

That's a cute picture! And I think I look like no one but myself ;-), but everyone else seems to think I look more like my dad. To complicate matters, they also think I and my brother look alike...and he looks more like my mom.

That is such a cute picture! I look identical to my mom, and nothing like my dad-so the running joke in the family is that I am the milkman's daughter. Nice, eh? I just saw what your favorite books are on your profile--those are WONDERFUL books! I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to link your site to my blog. I think my friends would enjoy your posts.

david, it took me a couple of reads but it finally clicked what you were saying, you handsome devil! and yes I heard Miss Fargo Girl yesterday

dave, you are pretty buff with the looks of an italian. I think you love like an italian too: with your whole heart!

Jay, I read somewhere that prenatal diet can effect hair color in new borns. pretty cool, huh? neither of my parents are thin but I certainly am fatter than both. my poor kids don't stand a chance

Kimananda, you have some of the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. Do any of your parents have that color? Such a blending of greens and browns...I am jealous as you can tell.

Rowan, you and your sister do look a lot alike as children but I haven't seen a recent photo of her. Do you still look alike?

LISA!!! It's great to see you! I once saw your mom on one of Tohper's videos and you do look a lot like her. But I also can see the family resemblance between you and Tohper too. Don't hate me! glad you're back girl!

Spencer, I miss you so much. Did you get my email last week? You better send me one with an update. luv ya!

Etchen, I would be honored for you to link me. You blog was very interesting and diverse. Just like I like things to be as you can tell from all of my blogger friends here. So when I do my update this weekend, I'll link you too. Have you ever read Out of Africa? It is a great book and made me want to visit Kenya so bad. I haven't seen the movie yet but it looks more like a love story than her memoirs of running the coffee plantation. I am afraid to ruin it.

Well my momma-dear craved Coca-Cola and oranges during her pregnancy with Dotty and me. She said she sometimes ate 6 oranges a day. YIKES!

Also, I didn't see David's disparaging remarks against me. Sheesh. I mean, he practically BEGGED me to audioblog on HIS blog. *giggling*

I'm more like my father. I have his facial structure and my mother's other stuff. Yet more like my father. Heh. As for my brothers, the step-headed red child looks more like my mother whil the youngest looks - Oddly, like my uncle.

I shit you not. (as you may guess, I found your comment on the Fake Doctor's blog which I thought was clever and very insightful). I like the fact that you are a choco-holic. I have been accused of bribing people with chocolate muffins. I shit you not!

Love your blog. It's warm and homey.

I look like my dad as does the sister after me. My two younger siblings look like my Mum. And my middle brother looks like no-one in the family. He says he's the grocer's because he used to drive there on Sats in a van to sell his wares. (We lived in the countryside.) He jests, of course. Mum was ver RC.
