Skinned

This picture is from an anatomy book. Little Man (2nd son) saw it and said "This guy was really brave. He took off all his skin with a knife. I would NOT skin my wee wee!"

Amen little brutha, I saw several skinned sketches that DaVinci drew. They all looked similar to this picture. I would never skin my wee wee either.

I think your son just discovered the 11th commandment: Thou shalt not skin thy wee.

wow, what are they teaching doctors these days???? I mean, this is something out of a gothic novel! LOL wow, I always assumed that the books they learned from were ordinary and drab, i'll assume nothing from here on out.

rowan, I think that they put pictures like these in medical text books to remind young doctors to never forget the human element to science. As Knottyboy said, this is a DaVinci and it used to be illegal to study the dead. He would sneak out to graveyards and dig up bodies to learn about human anatomy. It says a lot about how far science has come. I was amazed too at what they teach in med school. It is surprisingly hopeful, isn't it?
