Little Man Sums Up Education

Yesterday I was watching Little Man do his final week's homework. They get a packet on monday and turn it in on friday. I figured he must be excited that this is his final packet of the second grade.

Me: Can you believe that you are almost done with school? Soon you'll be a third grader!

Little Man: yeah yeah whatever. I don't care about school. All it is, is practice for being a grownup.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a cynic at age 8.

That is cute...and you gotta admit, he kinda has a point, assuming that a main aim of school is socializing those youngsters.

Etchen, thanks again *hugs*

Vickie, thank you too *hugs* to you too ;)

Ryan, Little Man cracks me up all the time

Sangroncito, you should have a few of your own stories when getting back to Brazil if Eliomar's youngest will be living with you

Jayleigh, can you believe the sass of that boy?!

Kim, it is scary how perceptive he is at times. He questions all the time how learning about certain things will help him when he is older. Did you ever say "I don't need to learn algebra because I won't use it when I am older"? Well Little Man says the same thing about spelling because someone told him about spellcheck on the computer.

Rowan, oh he doesn't hate school. He just doesn't find it important. If he has library day or music he gets happy to go. Other than that, he can take it or leave it.
